Pilgrimage

(a rhupunt poem)

Egyptian hands,
papyrus strands-
on time swept sands,
there's ebb and flow.

A baby's cries
in hope-filled skies
still vocalize
from long ago.

A river's reeds
amidst the weeds
grow inner seeds-
assuredly.

My faith abounds
like fertile ground,
commandments found-
or parted seas.

(Exodus...The Story of Moses)

(Rhupunt...Welsh in origin, a poem of interrhyming stanzas of 3, 4 or 5 lines with each
containing 4 syllables.  All but the last line rhymes, which last line rhymes with the last
line in the following stanza in pairs.)
