A Rustic November
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

By Lucia Kiersch Haase
Other Poems by Lucia Kiersch Haase

Give me this kind of day-

a rustic November

to carry inside

into December...

a woodland's rhyme-

a quiet breeze

midst rustling chatter

from the trees

that speak of time

and season's end

and what might be

around the bend

to contemplate

or soon remember

this kind of day...

a rustic November.

(I was walking Cenney and it was a gray day in the 30's, but still a blessing to  look
up at the last of the rustic colored trees in the peace of a quiet wood along the road.)
