Sentinels
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

Sentknels

Like sentinels upon the hill
stand northern pines, unstirred and still
in shrouded mist this New Year's morn,
as though the ancient day reborn.

They face towards Heaven's way in praise
as I do with my upward gaze
so patiently in peace, refound-
new growth ahead in fertile ground.

Engulfing slowly all the pines,
light from the rising sun entwines
each hallowed branch of every tree-
this warmth extending, touching me...

both sentinels within His grace-
Oh joy of life in given place,
on the horizon of God's plan...
for me, for you and every man!
