Peaceful Evening

Peaceful Evening

The moon reflects within the lake
a track of light o're water, still,
and casts a net upon the land-
white-washing to the distan hill.

Confetti starlight fills the sky
as though in shining celebration-
sentinels o're land and lake,
shimmering in bold elation.

The air is cool, unlike the day;
the sun now giving earth a rest,
and even in the night, there's light-
to that the moon and stars attest.

A pleasant path - fresh breaths of air,
condordant with a lullaby,
so quietly we walk along-
beside the lake...the Lord and I...

(We live nearby a lake that has a path around it for walking and bicycling.)
