Smiling faces, pleasant conversation
A time of leisure and relaxation
Primetimers, that's over 55 for the uninitiated,
Some their years becoming silver-plated

Make their way to a birthday celebration
Milton's made another year in calendar calibration
Gathering around the restaurant table
Singing "Happy Birthday", some voices a little unstable

Eating our Senior's meals with delight
Taking pictures--what a sight!
Now cutting that chocolate cake
Small portions each one will take

Opening his present with a smile
We all congratulate him without guile
Gathering around the restaurant table
Singing "Happy Birthday", some voices a little unstable.
