Veterans Day-Nov. 11

The loud shattering sounds of war

At end

Armistice Treaty signed at 11 A.M.

Signalling the end of World War I

Thus the beginning of many years of

celebration

Honoring those who fought for God and country

In a war to end all wars

Our president said

It was not to be so

Several conflicts later the Day became Veterans Day

to honor all those  who have fought in all our wars

Too many wars, too many have had to pay the ultimate sacrifice

May God bless our veterans

May God bless those who now serve

May God bring peace to this terribly troubled world

When men shall beat their weapons into plowshares

Until then we salute the brave men and women who have

served our nation in the military
