Bright Daffodil

Bright daffodil whether in a manicured lawn of green
Or in clumps sitting high regal as a queen
Your cheery "saucer and cup" appearance (unless doubled)
Greets the morning sunshine, standing tall, untroubled

Yellow or golden in whatever light
Your countenance is ever glowing bright
Causing a smile to replace a frown
Seeing you in your spring green gown

Daffodil waving in the spring breeze
A snapshot moment to forever freeze
Glorious in your yellow charade
A welcome sight in spring's blooming parade
