Today I mourn for those who've gone before
Giving their lives on some faroff shore
Often for nations that I barely know
Often for nations that I barely know

Remembering those who are still here
Who've served their country well; we cheer
In times of war and peace they've given
In times of war and peace they've given

Praying for those on the battlefield
To the ruthless enemy they must not yield
Holding high the cause of freedom worldwide
Holding high the cause of freedom worldwide
