Lenten Lentils

Nourishing when properly prepared and eaten

Spare not the time nor effort

Mixed well with the Word and prayer

And quiet meditation

On the mysteries of the Cross

Christ of God, who is God

In obedience to the Father

Hung in humilation between Heaven and Earth

To save humanity from Satan's Hell

Transforming those who believe

To do good works and sew an abundance of seed

Lenten Lentils served up in simple fare

Nourishment for the soul's care
