Thousands of votes already cast
Tuesday fast approaches
Soon the voting will be past
With the ad that coaches

Who will it be Kerry or Bush
What senators and representatives?
When it comes to shove and push
God is the only One who Eternity gives

Voting times come and go
Our democracy makes it so
But only the risen Christ can make new
Controls the sun, the moon, the morning dew

Thus keep in proper prespective now
Whoever wins in the elections 2004
Only rules as God will allow
It is He with whom I wish to score

Thus I will vote, meet my civic obligation
Vote my conscience, pray God's will be done
Remembering it is "under God" this one Nation
In blessing or judgement each candidate does run

Voting Time!(c)2004 Quentin Clingerman
