In Times Like These
An old gospel song
Tells us so clearly
An anchor we need

Stormy seas are just ahead
Of one type or another
Yet we need not sorely dread
The fiercest gale

There is an anchor to hold us fast
Sure and absolute
Against the howling blast
Stronger than the raging tempests

In Times Like These
An old gospel song
Tells us so clearly
The anchor is Christ

In Times Like These (c)2003 Quentin Clingerman

Author's note: A Mrs. Jones of a family who had a radio program for a number of years in Pennsylvania wrote this song. I attended college and seminary with her one son, Eddie. I believe their other son had a radio program of his own for some years. He was quite an instrumentalist.
