Where Goes the Morning Bright?

Where Goes the Morning Bright?

Where goes the morning bright
Excitement fills the days of first light
And boredom too
As the hours at times move so slowly through

The years pass by and morning bright becomes subdued
Memory recalls them as often many hued
But dimmer eyes and slower steps prevail
And morning bright begins to pale

Yet in the heart the morning is but about to begin
For those who know the Father's freedom from earthly sin
Great Hope abounds even in failing heart and mind
Morning bright awaits beyond this grit and grind

Beyond comprehension it will begin
Vision more than restored when Heaven the soul does win

Where Goes the Morning Bright?(c)2004, Quentin Clingerman
