"I did the crime,
I'll do the time."
Echoes hollowly through the chambers of his mind.

It is no game, Prison life;
Hatred and hostility are rife.
Echoes hollowly through the chambers of his mind.

His crime brought shame upon his name;
Toward him feelings of bitter blame.
Echoes hollowly through the chambers of his mind.

Wasted talent, wasted years;
Still no real repentant tears.
Echoes hollowly through his mind.
