"Justa thinking"...interesting how that everything in our lives revolves around appointments...yet how we just take "time" for granted...we are constantly and continually making appointments in our every day affairs and don't give it a second thought other than saying (I don't want to be late for that appointment). .the list goes on and on and on and on and. .I think you get the picture...we make appointments everyday. .work time..coffee time...drs. appointments...sport attendances...meal times...I believe we have a clear picture that we are an appointment making people...I remember a number of years back visiting my wife's relatives down in Michigan and had gone into a used car dealership and ended up chatting with the owner about the Lord and was sharing the gospel with him...after awhile he made this statement..." well that might be good for you but I don't need that in my life...I don't believe that stuff and besides I'm an atheist!" Is that right I said. .that's interesting...then why are you using Judea-Christian values to run your business?. "What do you mean he said.. what are you talking about?"...I replied.. well don't you have to write up a contract when you sell a vehicle.. he replied....of course. I then replied why are you dating the contract in regards to time AD.  after the death of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!..He appeared stunned and at that very same moment another fella came walking across the car lot towards us and he said to me.. That's my son...talk to him he needs God...listen people there is not one atheist in this whole wide world who doesn't or cannot believe in God..but that doesn't change God.. God is unchangeable .. He is the same yesterday.. Today.. and forever...He made time as a component to bring us to the realization of how important He prizes it...and tells us to redeem it or cash in on it because the days are evil. .the book of proverbs in the old testament has a good portion devoted to the subject of time... In fact there was a song written years ago played on station called...seasons of time or to every season there is a time...check it out..God says in His Word the Bible..that the fool says in his heart that there is no God. . can you imagine no God.. Well I can't!.God created this world and He sustains it and His Word is one hundred percent true..and is inerrant... Without error! He regards His Word as being so important that He says Heaven and Earth may pass away but His Word will abide forever....wise for us then to find out about it and take heed to it's sayings...O and getting back to appointments...God says that it is appointed unto man once to die and after that the judgement!...Did you get that....judgement after death. .. .weighty matters for sure.  Are you ready for that appointment....have thine affections been nailed to cross is thy heart right with God...We don't usually know when that appointment will be.....but it will be!! So any living today with no thought of that appointment with death and then with God.. ..I trust you give it serious thought......let Jesus Christ be praised!

We Have an Appointment

We have an appointment with our Maker
The day of our demise
To give an account of our lives down here
Have we've been foolish or wise
For us who know the Lord as Friend
It's a blessed visitation
To meet faith's Author and Finisher
Who gave so great Salvation

But on the other hand there are
Souls that have not prepared
To stand before this Holy One
With admission how little they cared
Their final doom sealed as well
Because their neglect of the Son
They thought the gospel foolish talk
Now alas they are undone

Can you imagine those thoughts to keep
Throughout eternity
I could have been saved by the Crucified One
And they fall on bended knee
And now they confess that Christ is Lord
To the glory of Father God
And then dismissed for eternity
With the devil and all his crowd!
