Lord You Can Melt

Lord You Can Melt

Lord You can warm with Thy love
And melt the coldest of heart's
When one finds out what Christ's done for them
They hasten to from sin depart
For holiness now penetrates
For Thou art Holy Lord
With broken and with contrite hearts
We recognize You as the Word

Darkness is seen as to what sin really is
Always trying to extinguish the Light
But praise God Lord You open blinded eyes
When by faith we receive Spiritual sight
For Thine is the Kingdom...the power and the glory
To have brought Heaven down to earth
And offering up a so great Salvation
Hallelujah for the " new birth! "

Born again by the Spirit of God
Our miracle birth has begun
How precious now we deem that Saviour
The Father...the Spirit...the Son
What a heart-warming procedure transpires
When we know the forgiveness for sin
And encompassed now by the love of God
Our desire is to live for Him...

An empty tomb Salvation!
For Hallelujah Christ has arose!
And lives praise God!...still He lives!
Blessed Conqueror over all of His foes
Hallelujah Calvary came through!
Came through in a mighty fashion...
Equippping His followers with a love for God
And a heart now full of compassion

Bended...broken pieces!
He can make us new again
And fashion us as He sees fit
Such is our Potter's Hand
It takes the Word of God
To make us feel the heat
And our hearts become warmed in our adherence to it
And the very love of it!!!

I've warmed my hands by His fire
My heart has been warmed as well
Heaven is now my new mindset
Praise God I'm delivered from Hell
What love that even though ... we were yet sinner's
To Him it was not a deterrent
With a steadfast love Christ went to the Cross
That now we might live different!

O Hallelujah I will praise Him!
For there's not but a day that goes by
That I'm not reminded of the grace of God
And the fact of His bountiful supply
God has such a love for sinner's
He's on a quest for repentant heart's
Bring all of your sin to the Mercy Seat
And friend... He will warm your heart!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
