There's A True Depth

There's A True Depth

There's a true depth to God's vision
That penetrates the heart of men
Our Creator who built us in fashion
Knows we must be born again
And sin and all its totality
Has weight unbearable as such
And only receives a relief for its ailment
When its receives the Master's touch

How thankful to have a Father
Who watches over His world
And secures a refuge for those struggling
At whom Satan's darts are hurled
I've found that so great Salvation
T'was found in the Crucified One
Now ransomed!.. Redeemed!...Rejoicing Hallelujah!
Praise God I know the Son!

Forever will be my forever
Death but a pause for a bit
Then glory!...I'm bound for Heaven
To enjoy the full sum of it
Praise God for the empty tomb
No grave stone marker placed there
Rejoicing in Christ's Resurrection
To meet Him one day in the air!

Are you coming along for the journey
You've always made vacation plans
This is the route map for Heaven
The nails prints in Jesus blest hands
There's power in the blood of the Lamb
For it washes white as snow
Seek ye the Lord while He may be found
Jesus loves you this I know!

How may I know you might ask me
I'm glad you asked me my friend
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ today
And your eternal vacation plans will begin
Look up the word repentance
It's a turning away from sin
Taste and see that the Lord is good
His Book has sure referencing!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
