You Don't Have To Go To Church

You Don't Have To Go To Church

You don't have to go to church to be saved
You can be saved right
 where you are
Either walking...running...or laying down
Or even sitting in your car
If you have any inquiries about God
Just ask Him for He's always there
And one of the things that He loves the most
Is your honesty in coming to Him in prayer

For the Holy Spirit is in operating mode
Just as God is...twenty-four seven
And is one hundred percent your Advocate
To help you to get to Heaven
Just one prayer!...just one prayer!
Can be the means of your minds clarification
To lead you in the way of the Lord
To the resulting of your soul's Salvation!

For God's Word is the Rock solid foundation
Upon which our faith is based
And every soul who trusts in Christ and believes on Him savingly
That testimony is never erased
For God has given His angels charge over thee
To record in Heaven's Book of Life
Every single soul in this whole wide world
Who have trusted in our Saviour the Lord Jesus Christ!

So what's your mind been thinking upon
That you haven't shared with another soul
God has been waiting patiently on the sidelines
To hear from your struggling soul
Isn't it time that you let it all out
So praise God...that you may let Christ in
There full forgiveness for anything you have been carrying
And hallelujah it's there for the offering!

So may I lovingly encourage you
For you will never find a closer Friend
Than there is to be found in the Lord Jesus Christ
Who will love us in that world without end
And hallelujah my Salvation
Is not based on anything that I have done
But the rather by my full acceptance
Of the work of Christ the Son!!!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
