O For The Newness Of Life

O For The Newness Of Life

O for the newness of life that is found in Jesus Christ
Love extending blessings...of mercy and of grace
Tasting of the flavor of the forgiveness of our sin
In awe of the transformation when repentance has taken place
O the joy in the heart washed by the
blood of the Lamb
The Holy Spirit sealing it to my spirit...hallelujah praise the Lord
My eyes finally opened as to love of God
What a blessed treasure there is to be found within  the reading of God's Word

So much healing available and faith is the avenue
Don't let Satan continue to lead you further astray
God is constantly on the lookout for hearts that are turning to Him
If you want eternal satisfaction then trust in Christ today
The great Physician knows your hurts He knows from whence you came
The hidden man of the heart is His providential specialty
You are never alone for God is always near
Even though you think you are...you're not!...trust me..

There's a love above any other...
taste and see that the Lord is good
Your best interest has always been on His mind
In spite of our sinful ways He has rendered longsuffering grace
Not willing that any should perish nor stay in a sinful bind
But love came down from HEAVEN with a vengeance to redeem
That meant He had to pour His wrath on His only begotten Son
That's how precious Salvation is in the site of a Holy God
Who has a heart that's large enough to give inclusion to everyone

God's love for sinners is definitely... all over the Map
Praise God that He created the world and everything therein
No matter the race...the color... or creed...grace is extended unto each gender
The saddest thing in all the world is when men don't recognize their own sin
Love established the old rugged Cross and put on it the Best of the Best
Who shed His own precious blood
that we might be redeemed
God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself
Wouldn't you think that it's finally time that Christ should be ESTEEMED?!!!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
