Have You Opened It!

The gift of God is eternal life
Through Jesus Christ the Lord
And we only have a temporal time
To find Him in the Word
But if you take a look in the Book
And ask the Lord to lead
The Holy Spirit will unravel its truths
To help you come and believe...

Amen there's power in the blood
Through Christ's holy Sacrifice
For it's He alone who can atone
There's none other who can suffice
And God was rightly satisfied
For when Christ's finished work was done
In three days...hallelujah three days!
He raised the Crucìfied One!

Now a living hope have we
With our soul...all is well! For if God hadn't raised Him from the dead
Of all men we'd be the most miserable
But from our joy we can never be robbed
Nor from its peace within
For we've received the gift of God
When we asked the Lord Jesus in!

What is holding you back my friend
For faith comes as a package deal
If you have the Son then you have the Father
And the Holy Spirit as your permanent seal...
A threefold Witness...hallelujah!
It doesn't get any better than that
Then to top it off as well
His reassuring Word as a fact!

I have succumbed to faith's transaction
I'll admit it!...I've come to Christ
I heartedly repented when I understood in the Word
My Salvation depended on His Sacrifice!
Why leave unopened the greatest of gifts
For there's anointing oil here to heal
That can sooth the deepest hurts of the heart
So much so that it is surreal!

May you feel the presence of the Lord
In your daily tasks  today
And be attracted to that One
Who can wash your sins away
It doesn't get any better than this
For He is the Just saving One
Faithful and true in His earthly mission
That you might believe on God's Son

So what's it going to be my friend
I can't open His gift for you
For there's only your personal name upon it
Praise God this gift's for you
I've opened mine and I'm still enjoying it
For it's the gift that keeps on giving
If you open yours...you'll be sure to find
This Package deal...is pure Living!!!
