The Gospel Is A Spiritual Message

The Gospel Is A Spiritual Message

The gospel is a spiritual message
"Ye must be born again!"
Read what Jesus said to Nicodemus
In the blessed gospel of John
This man was very intelligent
But knew not of the kingdom of God
He asked Jesus how he could enter Heaven
He was hoping it would be understood

When Jesus Christ told Him
That he must be born again
Nicodemus was confused by this
And asked...shall I enter my mother's womb again
Jesus said that which is born of the flesh is flesh
That which is born of the Spirit is spirit
And went on to explain a number of things
Trusting that Nicodemus would hear it

Jesus went on further to explain
About that subject again
Hoping that Nicodemus was sincere
And that He was taking it all in
Friend if you would only read
The gospel of John in chapter three
In the reading of its 36 verses
You will find how your soul can be free!!!

Your life is dependant upon Jesus Christ
You are subject to the Calendar today
Your doctor's appointment
Your exam at school
Things that you do every day
No other man! No other man!
Has had such an effect on our life
That He lived...it is recorded...and we are dated by it!
Praise God for Jesus Christ!!!

Don't you think that it should be time
Because of Christ's historical fact
To think about your standing with God
To initiate your faith believing act
Here today...gone tomorrow
Such is our destiny
But you still have the will to will your change
Where will you spend eternity?!!!

Remember it was the Lord Jesus Christ who said
"Ye must be born again"!
That should be serious enough in itself to check it out
Wouldn't you say so my friend
Don't let the devil hold you back
From such a great opportunity
Read God's Word as to His so great Salvation
Repent today and believe!!!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
