Our Safe Arrival

Our safe arrival on the other side
Can be determined in this life
The  Lord can give us blessed assurance
That we have eternal life
Tha Holy Spirit...Comforter
Bears a sure Witness within
For He becomes our soul's Companion
When we repent of sin

I have a know so Salvation
For I know in Whom I believed
And I am persuaded that He will keep
His Word that I have received
For I am saved by grace through faith
And what a saving faith it is
I set aside my own righteousness
And now I am clothed in His

There's a rapture in a soul
That knows Christ as a Friend
Who counts it a blessing everyday
That he has been forgiven
That knows the love of God as such
Grace to sinner's everywhere
The Cross of Jesus Christ our blessed hope
For that meeting in the air!

What a blood transformation
Is found in Jesus Christ
He shed His blood that I might live
Heaven's treasured Sacrifice
So as my mind becomes alert
That again praise God... I'm here!
I give repetitious thankfulness
That my Saviour holds me near!

So Hallelujah what a Saviour
Is embedded in my mind
For God to love His world so much
That He gave His...One of a kind
His only begotten Son Hallelujah
Who gave His life for me
Then praise God He became my Resurrection
That I might enjoy eternity!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
