Well God Said

Well God Said

Well God said...its up and Adam
And praise God Adam became
Made from the dust of the earth
Hallelujah praise His name
Who was made of flesh a human being
Chalk full of emotion
Who would experience as no other ever would
The dawning of God's Creation...

Not good that man should dwell alone
So God gave Adam a surprise
For when he awoke from a deep seated sleep
There was Eve before his eyes
Jubilation was
 in their hearts
As in the garden they walked
Until the old devil became involved to deceive
In his devious garden talk

Hath God said... his forgoing remarks
Questioning the authority of God
Tempting Eve to become a partaker
And to be disobedient to God
Sure enough the devil succeeded
And Eve went ahead to taste
And in that moment of deception
She doomed the human race

When God came again unto the garden
And said to Adam...where art thou?
Adam's concience felt the pangs
Of breaking the confines that God allowed
But God in His wondrous grace and mercy
Found a covering for Adam's sin
And provided them with His forgiveness
Hallelujah! Praise God! Amen!

Now grace is still afforded man
When he repents and believes
And acknowledges his sin before God
And the Lord Jesus Christ receives
Our Creator and our Maker
Is the God of a second chance
Take a minute to consider that
And begin your true repentance!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
