Once Enlightened
By: Laurie Ragan Jenkins

Once enlightened I never walk alone
God's voice is forever strong
Glory rings through my soul for I belong
When I hear Him speak, my heart does leap
Once enlightened His song is in my soul
His Holy Spirit takes control
His love erupts through every bone
Like a volcano then smooth as silk
Once enlightened the Bible is this baby's milk
Growing stronger year by year
God the Father holds His children dear
Once enlightened you're forever His
Jesus died so all can live
He's up in Heaven with eternity to give
Lifting up praises to the name that saves
Once enlightened the soul knows what He gave
The Holy Spirit shows where to drink
God's living water flows soul-deep
Once enlightened the mind knows how to think
Bubbling goodness a soul complete
