Lullabies
By: Laurie Ragan Jenkins

The angels they were singing
On the day that He was born
To God's crowing glory
They played lullabies upon their horns
Angels hung the brightest star in Heaven
Over in the east
To light the way for nations
To find God's Son
The Prince of peace
This precious little child would grow
To shed His blood upon a cross
Praying along the way
Not My will, but God's be done
Not a bone would be broken
Not a foot would be dashed
God would give the world His Son
Then raise Him back to life
Although we're all unworthy
Lord Jesus never died in vain
God's angels lifted Him to Heaven
So the whole world will call His name
When God's plan becomes accomplished
And He's ready to begin anew
He will part His clouds in Heaven
And Lord Jesus will come through
God's angels will be with Him
Playing on their horns
And singing to God's glory
About the way He loves the world
So if you wash your soul in Jesus
You can stand before God's throne
If you give your heart to Jesus
He will lead you to God's home
