Building Character
By: Laurie Ragan Jenkins

The building blocks
We tread upon
Are invisible
Sometimes bearing scorn
Building character
Tightly knit
God builds character
When we refuse to quit
The world is full of
Serpent's tongues
Devastating words
Releasing spurn
Character is born
Only through God's Word
Jesus gave His life
To zap the tongues
Strong forever
Bathed in His love
God builds character
Through Jesus' Holy Blood
Heaven's sweetest nectar
Builds invincible character
