Defused
By: Laurie Ragan Jenkins

Compassionate love blessed from above
Dropped into a mine field of heartless people
How could hearts grow this bitterly cold
When compassionate love shed His precious blood
So these horrors within could not take hold
Ticking time bombs set to explode
Can only be defused with His compassionate love
All hearts are not bad, and that's indeed sad
In dire need of compassionate love sent from above
Taking hold of their hearts in His loving hands
Jesus' love defuses many mine fields
Across miles and miles of land
With compassionate hands
