Twilight
By: Laurie Ragan Jenkins

Twilight besieged the empty days of many years
Betimes the wandering soul failed to awaken
The guiding light from God's love was forsaken
The twilight years dimmed the inner self
Unread dust covered Bible remains on the shelf
Awaken ticking time bomb soul before twilight's gate
Shake off the dust read life saving words before too late
God reveals eternity awakens page after blessed page
Time besieged eternal life, hell awaits at twilight's gate
Twilight besieged eternal life with Jesus' blood
Hallelujah the awakened soul begins to shout
Twilight now sees by the light of the Lord skipping about
It's never too late to change the fate of twilight's gate
