Up in the Sky
By: Laurie Ragan Jenkins

Fragrant scent from freshly mown grass
Tickles the nose of a small young child
While lying in the back yard on the blades of grass
Never noticing the dampness soaking through her clothes
Too amazed by the white clouds speeding overhead
Oh look she thinks there's a castle up in the sky
She imagines it must be Heaven then sees the doors
A lovely voice sweetly whispers in her inner ear
It's here for you just waiting all prepared
Little darling, I'm your Father I'm always here
Right here in Heaven with your castle never fear
I'll watch over you from My throne beyond Heaven's gates
When you're ready come claim your castle it patiently waits
