Raging Sea
By: Laurie Ragan Jenkins

When the world becomes a raging sea
Slowly sinking under with just one plea
Give me Your steady feet to walk in Dear Lord
Your tremendous strength so I can stand
Help me Dear Jesus, I'm sinking again
Give me Your calm ability so I can withstand
The raging seas of life's endless demands
Pull me up out of this tumultuous sea
As surely as You pulled Peter
When he too was in Your need
Give me Your faith with Your glorious grace
I only wish to behold Your beautiful face
Let me stand on Your steadfast feet
For a long, long while
Let me rest comfortably on Your shoulder
Give me the comfort only You can bring
You see Dear Jesus I feel so, so tired
In this raging sea of life
You're the only One that can help me
Take my heavy heart, carry my feeble feet
Rock my in Your cradle of everlasting love
Give me Your loving comfort, give me Your airy peace
Rest my weary spirit in Yours until eternity
