Oh My
By: Laurie Ragan Jenkins

Underneath a red maple tree
That stretches lazily toward the sky
Surrounded by singing chimes
Harmonizing amongst the breeze
Sitting on a weathered wooden bench
Two playful cats caressing me
God's peace is closing all around
Birds are chirping in nearby trees
While buzzing crickets join in
Peaceful thoughts play in my mind
The sound from the bubbling creek drops by
Littlest dogwood multicolored blooming
Suddenly before my joyful eyes
Grateful lips exclaim, Oh my!
Who could ever need anymore than this
