The Bird of Paradise
By: Laurie Ragan Jenkins

The snowy dove flew
Pure unsoiled spotless
This bird of paradise knew
Underneath blood stained wings
Bearing the full weight of paradise achieved
The healing power for all who chose to believe
That God's bird of paradise was sacrificed
Sweet Redeemer for the sins of this world
Walking the road to Calvary's cruel Cross
Christ Jesus my dearest bird of paradise
I pray God's Holy Spirit to coincide
With the soul inside that You alone died for
The snowy dove flew like the bird of paradise You knew
Heaven awaits this believer in God's sky pure blue
Paradise achieved underneath blood stained wings
