Optical Illusion
By: Laurie Ragan Jenkins

Hummingbird gurgling nectar
From fuchsia bloomed impatiens
Flitting flower to flower
Relishes savory feast
Tininess betrays you
Plus the body of a bee
Illusive impostor hawk moth
Mimicking a hummingbird
Surely deceiving me
Impatient for the feast
Oblivious to all conclusions
God's amazing, humorous creation
His optical illusion
