The Wall That Speaks
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

By George David Denson
Other Poems by George David Denson

For over fifty years, people have traveled
To Jerusalem,
To pray at the Wailing Wall.
Though God may not always answer,
He does carefully listen,
While weighing each urgent call.

To God,
Our Creator and Sustainer,
The Wailing Wall is a Wall That Speaks.
Ever reminding Him and us;
He is the Living God,
That all people diligently seek!

Jews, Christians and Arabs,
The Wailing Wall does not care.
Faith, Compassion, Love, and Forgiveness,
Among all people,
Is what the Speaking Wall
Wants to share.

Through restless days,
Sleepless nights,
Of the hurting soul;
The Wall That Speaks
Provides each soul that prays,
Courage and hope more valuable than gold!
