In the Light of the Hidden Sun

In the Light of the Hidden Sun

At the beginning of each new day,
the curtain opens -- and earth's sun
walks on stage;
As the day yields to night,
the curtain closes -- and earth's sun
retreats to become a better sage.

In the winter season, gray clouds
stay longer than they are wanted
or expectantly bidden;
Making you believe that our creator,
has taken earth's sun away
to be eternally hidden.

Yet, our souls make a joyful noise
as light still shines --
from earth's hidden sun;
Promising, that despite
the lingering, thick, gray clouds --
some of our greatest victories are yet to be won!
