Our "Super" Savior
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

By George David Denson
Other Poems by George David Denson

Another Super Bowl has come and past,
Its memories may or may not last.
We can live without another Super Bowl,
But a Super Saviour we must have --
to save us from our sins, and make us whole.

Super Bowl games are won and lost,
Our Super Saviour offers us freedom
from sin without our cost.
Jesus of Nazareth is our Super Saviour,
Through His name the bondage of sin
we can forever sever.

In the Super Bowl, there is the thrill
of victory and the agony of defeat,
For some a time of rejoicing, for others,
a time to moan and weep.
Our Super Saviour gives us life's most
cherished victories,
As His Person and Power, we joyfully embrace,
and continually receive.
