Traveling Guests of Passing Time

Today my son is the golden age of twenty-five,
Makes me very grateful that I am still healthy and alive;
Reflections swifly come as this mountain of age we climb,
For we both have been the traveling guests of passing time.

1950 was the year I was born, 1979, the year of his birth,
We were both born in a home where love comes first;
That love has grown and is very strong in the year 2004,
As traveling guests of passing time, this vintage of life,
We both continue to share, treasure and explore.

About the Poet
I am 73 years old and have not written poetry in these past many years For my wife of 73, my daughter of 50 and my son, 44 in the Army National guard I write this poem in faith but also with tear.
