For His Honor
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

By George David Denson
Other Poems by George David Denson

My utmost for His highest,
A classic devotional writer declares.
Live your life daily for His honor,
And with others His love generously share.

Born the Son of David,
A descendant of Israel's King.
Live your life daily for His honor,
Let your soul to Him joyfully sing.

A widow placed all she had,
In an offering plate one day.
Live your life daily for His honor,
Give all you have --
So that others might find His saving way.

A woman broke a perfumed alabaster box,
And with her hair --
Washed our Lord's dusty feet.
Live your life daily for His honor,
His redemptive purposes forever to seek.

A man of wealth and noble character,
Provided our Lord's body a gracious tomb.
Live your life daily for His honor,
And you will bear fruit --
Like a robust flower in full bloom.

My utmost for His highest,
A classic devotional writer concludes.
Live your life daily for His honor,
And experience the joy and blessing,
Of walking in your Saviour's shoes.
