The Grace of Memory
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 2 times

By George David Denson
Other Poems by George David Denson

Today, I face
many difficult challenges
and laborious tasks;
My strength to complete
and fulill these,
lies in the memory
of God's help in the past.

Like a bridge
linking two sides
of a wide, flowing river;
My memory
of God's past help
makes my life richer than
all the world's
24K gold or pure silver.

Just as a snowman
melts in the glow
of a winter's bright sun;
Present fears
and uncertainties
fade away in the light
of the memories of God's help
in the past, through His only Son.

Today, I face
many difficult challenges
and laborious tasks;
Be strong and courageous,
my soul,
in the memory
of the Shepherd's care
in days already past.
