Upon Life's Troubled Sea

Upon Life's Troubled Sea

Sometimes my ship must sail,
Upon life's troubled sea.
Situations and circumstances,
Come my way --
That I would rather not have to receive.

Why me?
Why now?
How much longer must this be --
That my ship has to sail,
Upon life's troubled sea.

In a time often forgotten,
The Son of God
Walked upon a troubled sea.
Spoke peace to the terrible storm --
And the blowing winds, the rolling waves,
Simply ceased to be.

Now that my ship must sail,
Upon life's troubled sea.
I invite His Majesty into my boat --
Together we will ride out this storm,
As we have done others,
My life-long friend Jesus and Me!
