Redeemed on Eagles

Scripture Background: Exodus 19:4 - "You have seen
what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on
eagles' wings and brought you to myself."

O' Israel, out of Egypt,
I carried you on outstretched wings.
To a land that I promised Abraham,
Isaac, Jacob, and their seed,
Redeemed On Eagles' Wings!

Time and time again,
With unconditional love and grace,
Through timely judgment and blessing,
I brought you back to your holy place,
Redeemed On Eagles' Wings!

In a Roman controlled distant past,
I sent my Son, Jesus of Nazareth,
So that you would fully be mine,
And serve no other gods,
Redeemed On Eagles' Wings!

My Sons's gift of redemption was rejected,
By you, the Romans, Greeks and others too.
They crucified Him on an old ugly tree,
But I raised Him from the dead,
Set Him free from that cold, dark, dreary tomb,
Redeemed On Eagles' Wings

In 1948 A.D., after thousands of years
Of unnoticed absence,
And a near death blow to your existence.
I granted you a rebirth of nationhood
and world acceptance --
Redeemed On Eagles' Wings!

Today that work of grace is fragile,
As you and others fight a holy land war,
It seems that it may be time again,
To send my Son back to earth;
So true peace to the world
Can be restored --
Redeemed On Eagles' Wings!
