Children of War

Children of War

World War I
World War II
The Korean War;
We who were born in the Twentieth Century,
were born, children of war.

Vietnam
Bosnia
The Gulf War;
We who were born in the Twentieth Century,
were born, children of war.

September 11
Afghanistan liberated
Holy Land turmoil;
Those born in the Twentieth-First Century,
sadly, have also been born, children of war.

Peace in the Middle East
Asia, Africa, and Europe united
Safety on America's shores;
Join me in daydreaming,
that before this century ends,
all children everywhere
will be born --
children of war no more!
