Other Poems by George David Denson

Today a heavy blanket of fog rolled in,
Settling heavily over the place where I live;
Causing my body and mind to soberly enter,
A time of commuting thought ever so surreal.

Never do I recall such a heavywater fogbank,
As thick as an iron curtain, and non-visibility dense;
My truck crept through morning rush hour traffic,
While my soul was resonating -- this does not make any sense.

Sometimes life has its own weather vanes,
With its own ominous dark clouds, and heavy blanket of fog;
Please God, help me to see this dastardly gray mist vanish,
And bright sunshine return to this earthly sod.
