I Am an American Soldier Too

This poem is in honor of Private Jessica Lynch and all who are continuing to serve our country in Iraq and for those who have given their life in this war.

I Am an American Soldier Too

My name is Private Jessica Lynch,
I am an American soldier too;
I love my comrades and my country,
Ever grateful for prayers of people like you.

My life was graciously spared, why me
And not others, I will never know;
For those who powerfully rescued me,
My love for them is as pure as 24K gold.

America, please pray and be patient,
Victory for Iraq and US will come soon;
Please don't forget those who have died,
And continue to fight this war at high noon!
