They That Weep on a Distant Shore..
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

They That Weep on a Distant Shore

They that weep on a distant shore...
Bother me daily,
Yet more and more!

What can I do,
What can I say,
To whom do I turn as the violence
Increases day by day.

O God,
I pray that the bloodshed will end,
So They that weep,
Might call you their friend.

Awaken us all
Who so comfortably sleep,
Give us the courage to care
For They that weep.

For some reason, our prayers
Seem to be ignored,
And They that weep
Continue to do so, o'er and o'er.

Pray, we must
Though tears continue to flow,
For violence must find
Its final death's blow.

So hold on and believe
They that weep on a distant shore...
For Peace will surely
Someday find you
An open door!
