To My 'Matt Mo' With Love

With love we call you 'Matt-man'...or sometimes 'MattieMo'.

With love I watched you toddle 'round

and with love I watched you grow.

Your smile is so endearing, your cheeks I'd want to pinch,

Blue eyes danced in merriment, as you grew, inch by inch.

Your quietness, deceiving...you were every bit the clown,

When we'd least expect it, you'd bring laughter all around.

Your favorite "sport" was game boy, pacman or T.V.

Parked on cubby butt cheeks, your back was all we'd see!

Sometimes you'd venture into things before you thought them through...

riding down the stairsteps...in a box...oh yes! it's true!!

Stitches on your forehead, for all the world to see...

Sent you back to gameboy...pacman and T.V.

Grandma's day with you at school was always such a treat,

To sit beside my MattieMo....on a little seat.

To watch you be so nervous..grinning ear to ear,

Moments with my grandson...memories so dear.

Bearcreek Farms was awesome,  it was just you and me...

To watch you feel so special, but there was something you couldn't see...

Grandma's heart swelled with pride in you I cherish dear,

Warmed my heart with so much love as you grinned from ear to ear.

Then one day you grew so tall, a slender, handsome man.

A tough road you had conquered...to take your rightful stand.

Good hearted child of God...a gift for all to see...

Especially to your Grandma

and this will always be.

Grandma David
