Wilderness

Sometimes in our busy days,
Demanding chores and hurried ways,
Schedule full, we have a plan,
Accomplish everything we can.
Look out my friend, for your busy-ness
Will lead you to the wilderness!

"Good morning, Lord...we'll talk real soon.
I'll catch you in the afternoon."
Sometimes when we procrastinate,
We're wound up tight and running late.
Look out my friend, for your busy-ness
Will lead you to the wilderness!

Who's out there in the wilderness?
Why it's Satan! with some real tough test!
Now, my friend, you need your shield
And all your armor for the battlefield!

But sometimes when you turn around,
What you need just can't be found.
Look out my friend, all your busy-ness
Has left you naked in the wilderness!

We don't set out to lose our way,
Or not have God direct our day.
Our intent is good, but we're off and gone,
And seldom put our armor on.
Look out my friend, all your busy-ness
Will lead you to the wilderness!

God lets us choose--death or life,
Bondage free or daily strife,
Armored living or busy-ness,
Milk and honey...or wilderness.

What is your choice--make it today!
To walk His path or go astray.
I found myself in the wilderness,
All because of busy-ness.

Will you choose today what you will do?
