I Found Myself a Corner

I found myself a corner and set aside the time,
I gathered all the things I'd need, and set out for to find....
A Father that has promised me if I would seek His face,
I'd never be without Him...anytime or anyplace.
I played His music softly, took council in His word,
Then I listened for His voice and this is what I heard...

"To trust in Me is resting and resting is to trust.
Your spirit needs to feed on Me, and praying is a must."

"You need to watch the words you say, and your thoughts be pure and true;
And daily put your armor on and let Me walk with you."

"You need to seek My guidance for every step you take,
And let Me be the Author of decisions that you make."

"You need to pray for wisdom, then trust your inner man;
Then do what I have told you and rest within My hand."

"Pray the way I've taught you, let love direct your way,
And judge yourself...not others; Again, be careful what you say."

"Rest in My promises, and I promise you My rest,
My grace will be sufficient in any trial or test."

"Remember, in your weakness, perfected strength I give to you;
I'm strength in your weakness, it's MY power that sees you through."


I write these words in verse and rhyme, because my Father's words are true.
They filled my little corner and now I share them all with you.
