The Sea of Life

         The Sea of Life

The sea of life
was very rough.
I sought safety
in a life-boat
of silent prayer.
With a life-jacket
of faith around me
in a calmness
known only to me.
I gave myself to God,
promising to do His will.
Yes, I let go
of all my pain
and all my sorrow
with no thought of tomorrow.
Down came
a life-line
direct from God
with a special
life-preserver
filled with grace.
It was time
I changed my life-style.
He is my life guard
and I am His
in this life time
and beyond.
He leads me on
into Eternal Life!

"Cast your burden on the Lord and
He will sustain you."(Psalm 55:23)

About the Poet
Born on October 24, 1939, I was one of seven children. I am now a mother of seven grown children, grandmother of 18, widow, and writer for the past 50 years mostly poetry. Day care provider of many years, now retired. Three poetry books published, but no longer in print, several little poem books self published. Published in local newspapers, several magazines and daily devotionals. My faith, family and writing poetry has brought me thus far.
