       Treasures

My only treasures on earth
are my children and grandchildren.
All the rest is luxury..
And...
God's grace and mercy and love
are true treasures that surround me
till the end of time."

"Don't store up for yourselves  treasures
on earth where moth and rust destroy,
and where thieves break in and steal.
But store up for yourselves treasures
in heaven where moth and rust do not
destroy and where thieves do not break
in and steal...for where your treasure is
there your heart will be also.
                         (Matthew 6:19-20)

About the Poet
Born on October 24, 1939, I was one of seven children. I am now a mother of seven grown children, grandmother of 18, widow, and writer for the past 50 years mostly poetry. Day care provider of many years, now retired. Three poetry books published, but no longer in print, several little poem books self published. Published in local newspapers, several magazines and daily devotionals. My faith, family and writing poetry has brought me thus far.
