Resurrection

(in memory of my dad who died on 4/9/1987)

On good Friday, the Son of
our Heavenly Father died.
He gave His life
for all our sins.
His mother wept,
christians cried.
Entombed, three days,
He rose again.
At the break of dawn
man's own Easter began.
Because of Him...
my father's light
has shined.
His earthly light
has flickered out.
His light
will shine again!

"...make use of the light while there is still time;
then you will become light bearers."(John 12:35)

About the Poet
Born on October 24, 1939, I was one of seven children. I am now a mother of seven grown children, grandmother of 18, widow, and writer for the past 50 years mostly poetry. Day care provider of many years, now retired. Three poetry books published, but no longer in print, several little poem books self published. Published in local newspapers, several magazines and daily devotionals. My faith, family and writing poetry has brought me thus far.
